Cinemas as innovation hubs for local communities

TISZApART Cinema – as the main venue of the Alexandre Trauner ART/Film Festival has successfully participated in the call for proposal advertised by the European Commision “Cinemas as innovation hubs for local communities”. Out of the 46 applications, 5 projects were selected for funding. The art cinema of Szolnok together with three other foreign partner cinemas will bring into effect the project called „Resonance Cinema - Cultural Hub for Curious Minds”.

Cinemas as innovation hubs for local communities

The aim of the project is to bring communities together to share experiences through offering different cultural content in an attractive way in the spaces of the art cinemas. The programs especially focus on the education of the young audience and involves them in the local cultural life. The project also pays attention to the audiences with disabilities and helps them to get closer to cultural programs through workshops and film screenings.

From the funding received there will be a “smart cinema” informatics development in Tisza Cinema and various cultural programs like international film premiers followed by Q&A at the same time in the 4 cinemas, film screenings and workshops for the audience with disabilities, Youtuber workshops and a Youtube channel run by the 4 partner cinemas, music driven films and parties/concerts afterwards and Virtual Reality programs and presentations.

The coordinator of the tender is Art Fest Ltd (Bulgaria), and its partners are: Kinematografi Osijek d.d. (Croatia) and Center interesnih dejavnosti Ptuj (Slovenia). The total amount of the funding received is 473,537 euro.
